Continuing on with the HomeWork series based upon the "10 reasons" why Americans are fat.
We move on to #4.
Bigger Plates.
Who decides how big your portion should be?
The chef at Buddha Ruksa? The corporate nobodies at Applebees? Or Starbucks? Or Safeway?
This HomeWork is, for the next 7 to 10 days, to leave about 10% of your meal on your plate at all feedings. That's right, either throw it away into the compost, or put it back into the bowl/container. But whatever you do, don't eat it!
It is funny that we eat all of what we are given when we go out or open a packaged sort of food.
We have all done it, and I suggest this contributes to our altered perception of how much to eat at each sitting/meal. Even when we dish it up ourselves. We have gotten mildly to seriously out of touch with our own nutrtitional needs that it carries over into our own food prep.
Have fun,
MRoss
